Suing question:

I have received diabolical service from a solicitor and am looking into the possibility of suing the firm for professional negligence. How may I go about this without ending up with another equally incompetent solicitor and having to pay costs?

I was sorry to read that you have been let down by your previous solicitor.
If your complaint is about the service you have received you may lodge a complaint and obtain some limited compensation from the Soliciotrs Regulation Authority - http://www.sra.org.uk/consumers/problems/report-solicitor.page
If you have suffered financial loss because of your previous solicitorthen can can sue for professional negligence. There is an organisation called the Professional Negligence Lawyers assocaition http://www.pnla.org.uk/
Most members of the PNLA will take cases on a " no win no fee " agreement , as my firm does www.goodmanslaw.co.uk
If you would like to discuss your case with me please e-mail me at isc@goodmanslaw.co.uk
good luck
