Accident claims question:
I am nervous about claiming off my employer for an accident that occurred at work. Will my job be at risk?

Your employer will have insurance to cover the costs of any claim you make (there is a legal obligation on employers to have Employers Liability Insurance). So it is not the employer who will have to pay you anything – it is the insurance company.

People do worry about this though. Generally speaking my experience is that the larger employers don't make a fuss. Sometimes small employers can take it personally but if you have been injured and it was your employer's fault, then my shouldn't you claim?
