Employment question:

redundancy unfair selection? I am about to be made redundant from local government. the team was told 4 posts were to go and we were invited to be matched with the remaining posts. I was unsuccessful and told I would be made redundant if a suitable alternative post was not available. Then one of the posts that had been axed was suddenly reinstated. I would have been a good match to this and the current postholder is on secondment so would have had a job. Should I appeal my notice of redundancy on the basis that the selection process was unfair? . I will receive above the statutory minimum redundancy payout. If my appeal is upheld, what would the outcome be? Thanks
