Criminal question:

I was arrested for a section 47 assault, I have been bailed to return to the police station (8weeks since it happened) soon. A false allegation has been made against me by someone I got into an argument with on a night out. I left the pub and went to another pub to continue my night out with friends. The person in question later came into the pub and was also involved in another confrontation with another two men. At which point he was punched to the side of his head. A fight then happened between two groups of people. The pub landlord then asked people to leave as the police had been called. Upon leaving the pub I parted company with the friends I was with and started to walk home. Whilst walking home I was approached by the person (and a friend of his) I had an argument with before. His friend then grabbed me whilst he made threats to me. No sooner had this happened then the police turned up, an officer got out and asked what was going on and if I was ok, I said we are just having an argument from before and I’m happy to leave it. The officer allowed me to leave. While walking home I was then arrested and taken into custody for suspicion of a section 47 on the person I had the argument with, as he claims to have a bruised head and scratches/cuts to his back which he claims came from the second pub which he was involved in a fight. He claims that I punched him to the ground then kicked him several times in the head.
