If you have been granted leave to stay in the UK as a student for at least one year you are permitted to work for up to 20 hours each week during term time, and full time during the holiday periods. But this depends on the type of visa you have and the nature of the course you are studying on.

For example, if you are not studying on a degree you may only be permitted to work for 10 hours each week. It is important you check what conditions apply to your visa in terms of permission to work so that you do not breach immigration rules.
